An evening of board games and karaoke, concerts, a dance party to the rhythm of the '00s and a sports tournament – this is the NCU's DISCO Freshers Party – Otrzęsiny. The attractions will last for three days – from 22 to 24 October.

This year's first highlight of the 'Freshrers Party', an entertaining welcome for new students of our University, will be an evening of board games and karaoke at the 'Kotłownia' Student Activity Centre (ul. Słowackiego 5/7). A whole array of board games awaits those wishing to play, and there will also be plenty of attractions for e-sports fans. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. on 22 October.

On Wednesday 23 October, the NCU Student Self-Government has planned a concert evening at the 'Od Nowa' club (37a Gagarina). The stage will be occupied by Dwa Sławy, a rapper duo from Łódź, and AntyRefleks, a band from Żyrardów, which combines rock'n'roll with youthful energy and humour. The start time is 7 p.m. The performances will be followed by a silent disco to the rhythm of the 2000s. Wednesday's concert is the only ticketed event as part of the Freshers Party.

A day later, on 24 October at 5 p.m., a 3x3 basketball tournament will be held at the University Sports Centre (ul. Józefa 17), which, according to the organisers, will take participants back to a time when tracksuits with leotards, flip phones and mp3s reigned supreme. Registration form: https://tiny.pl/3t_4q2wg
