Growing stronger in the elite
The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management has once again been awarded the prestigious international AACSB accreditation. It will be valid until the 2025/2026 academic year.
The AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is the world's longest running accreditation organisation for higher education institutions delivering undergraduate, masters and doctoral programmes in economics, management, finance and accounting.
The accreditation awarded to the Faculty is an internationally recognised mark of quality confirming that a given educational institution meets the highest standards and commits itself to continuous self-improvement and development.
Currently, the AACSB accreditation is held by approximately 5% of the best business schools in the world: a total of 926 entities from 60 countries, including such renowned universities as Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University and London Business School. The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is one of two universities in Poland holding this accreditation, and the only public university.
The renewal of the AACSB accreditation (the Faculty first received accreditation in 2015) is the result of a long-standing and engaging process for the academic community to align with the 15 AACSB standards, focused on, among other things, strategic management, innovation, teaching standards, staff and student engagement in academic life and career development. This influences the fact that the AACSB accreditation is highly regarded in both the educational and business communities, thus increasing the competitive advantage of graduates of accredited universities on the job market.
