On the night of 6-7 July, Iranian media reported on the apprehension of a group of foreigners in Iran, among them the names of three academics from the Nicolaus Copernicus University.

We would like to inform you that the apprehension took place in September 2021. Two of the NCU researchers were released after interrogation, one was detained and remains in an Iranian prison to this day. We have been in regular contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland since last September, as well as with the family of the detained researcher.
