Ewelina Kołakowska, a PhD student at the NCU Faculty of Fine Arts is becoming more and more acknowledged in China.

During her stay and artistic internship, Ewelina Kołakowska had the opportunity to present the topic of her doctoral thesis "Using Modern Technologies in Creating New Types of Graphic Matrices in Printmaking and Building Interdisciplinary Graphic Forms" at the China Printmaking Museum. Her work is supervised by dr habil. Tomasz Barczyk, NCU Prof., and the foreign supervisor - Prof. Paul Coldwell.

Last year Ewelina Kołakowska won the Honorary Work Award at the 7th Guanlan International Print Biennale China 2019, and since then her cooperation with the prestigious graphics centre has been developing very rapidly. Zhao Jiachun - director of the Biennale's office expressed great interest in the subject, and an idea emerged to introduce the technique developed by Ewelina Kołakowska, MA, to the Guanlan Graphic Base.
