The alliance of European universities YUFE launches a programme to promote entrepreneurship and innovation. One of the first events - the Talk Show session - has been confirmed for June 14th and will be hosted by Nicolaus Copernicus University.

The Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) opened an application period to take part in activities promoting entrepreneurship and innovation which are aimed at students and staff from the universities that form the Alliance, as well as the general population.

The programme consists of two initiatives: the YUFE Challenge Teams and the Entrepreneurial Programme, which, amongst others, include a series of MOOCs and Talk Shows. This programme is part of the activities YUFE offers in its commitment to multidisciplinary and multicultural training.

As part of the YUFE Challenge Teams, institutions and companies from different sectors, as well as the general public, have proposed a series of real-life challenges to the working teams that they will need to solve and deliver innovative solutions at social, scientific, and technological levels. This activity will take place in multidisciplinary teams in which students from YUFE universities can participate. Students can apply to be part of a team from 4-27 June 2021. For its part, the YUFE Entrepreneurial Programme aims to promote students', staff and the general public's entrepreneurial skills, by guiding participants using training resources that will allow them to acquire these new skills. There will be two types of resources available in this first edition:

  1. MOOCs are free online open courses, chosen from the best universities and/or prestigious organisations, which information will be available on the YUFE website.
  2. The Talk Shows programme consists of a series of talks given by experts from the field of innovation. They will be offered online by Alliance universities over a ten-month period. Each session will last two hours, the first of which will be open to the general population and the second will be reserved for YUFE students. The first Talk Show session (YUFE Entrepreneurial Programme) has been confirmed for June 14th and will be hosted by Nicolaus Copernicus University and provided by Lidia Chylewska-Barakat, PhD from the Department of Business and Administration of the NCU. The talk is divided into two parts. The first hour (from 10:00 to 11:00 CET) is open to all and will address basics of motivation and perseverance like definitions, functions, mechanisms and the neuropsychology of them for to explain what and how we can control and regulate ourselves. The second hour (from 11:00 to 12:00) is only for YUFE students, where they will participate in a workshop where they will recognise a specific motivational DNA using the simplest psychological 3-questions test of Tamara Lowe. Prior registration is required

Taking part in these activities will allow students to work towards the YUFE Star System, and in particular, the YUFE Professional Star.
