39th Aleksander Jabłoński Lecture

The Institute of Physics at Nicolaus Copernicus University invites you to the annual Aleksander Jabłoński Lecture. On 26 February 2026 at 5:15 p.m., Prof. Czesław Radzewicz from the University of Warsaw will give a lecture entitled ‘Lasers: where do we come from, where are we going?’.

The event will take place in the Aleksander Jabłoński Auditorium at the Institute of Physics at ul. Grudziądzka 5/7 in Toruń.

During his presentation, the speaker will present a subjective view of the history of the discovery and development of lasers from the construction of the first one in 1960 to the present day, as well as examples of his personal fascinations in this field. He will demonstrate the powerful influence of lasers on the development of many fields of science and technology and present the current landscape of laser technology, discussing the most important applications and prospects for the development of industries that use these light sources.

The event will be held in Polish.
