Dialogue with Knapp in the Fine Arts Section

The Faculty of Fine Arts invites you to the opening of the exhibition ‘Dialogue with Knapp’ by dr hab. Aleksandra Sojak-Borodo, NCU Prof., which will take place on 1 October 2025 at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Section of the University Library in Toruń.

At the exhibition ‘Dialogue with Knapp,’ Aleksandra Sojak-Borodo will present a series of works that are an artistic dialogue with the works of Stefan Knapp. The exhibition consists of drawings, puzzles and spatial forms, some of which allow for interaction with viewers. The series was born out of the artist's fascination with Knapp and is a conscious dialogue with works she has studied and analysed. It is also a confrontation with personal memories of when, as a little girl, she marvelled at the colourful composition on the façade of the Nicolaus Copernicus University Auditorium, which contrasted with the grey reality of communist Poland.

The opening of the exhibition is planned after the ceremonial inauguration of the 2025/2026 academic year.
