Politics in times of polarisation and hatred

The Challenge Team coordinated by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, whose topic is “Fight against intolerance: awareness of verbal violence in political speeches and meetings”,  invited a special speaker Patxi López for an on-line conference.

Patxi López is a Spanish socialist politician serving as Member of the Congress of Deputies and chair of the Constitutional Committee and, in the context of the Challenge Team, he is also a non-academic mentor.

The session called "Listening to the other: politics in times of polarisation and hatred" will allow participants to look at the hate speech topic from a political point of view and will open up a debate among students and other actors about this important and very current topic.

The session will start 23 March at 16:30 (CET) and will last till 18:30. Conference is open to all and will be provided in English (simultaneous translation Spanish-English). Registration required (registration due date: 22 March 2022).
