Tradition Exchange at the Ethnographic Museum
On Saturday, June 13, the Ethnographic Museum in Toruń invites you to this year’s Intercultural Picnic "Tradition Exchange". The event is being held to celebrate Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship Day and World Refugee Day. Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is a partner of the event.
Tradition Exchange is a colourful encounter with the region’s culture and the traditions of migrants who call the Kuyavian-Pomeranian province home. During the picnic, you’ll have the chance to meet representatives of various cultures and learn about elements of Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Turkish, and Chinese folklore. Participants can look forward to, among other things, handicraft workshops, artistic performances, regional delicacies and plenty of dancing to folk music. The "Emic" Foundation and the "Łącznik" Integration Centre, which support people with migration and refugee backgrounds, will also have booths open all day. Polish Sign Language interpreters will be available during the event.
