The official inauguration of the 2023/2024 academic year will begin on 2 October at 11:00 am in the NCU Aula. The event will be broadcast on the NCU TV website.

Traditionally, before the ceremony begins, the members of the NCU Senate - will lay flowers at the Nicolaus Copernicus monument in the Old Town Market Square in Toruń at 10:15 a.m.

The events in the Aula will open with an inaugural address by the Rector, Prof. dr habil. Andrzej Sokala, followed by matriculation, i.e. the symbolic inclusion of first-year male and female students into the academic community. The students starting their studies at the Academic High School will also join our community.

The start of the academic year will also be an opportunity to award the titles of the Best Graduate, Best Student and Best Student-Sportsperson, as well as Best AHS Student.

The opening lecture entitled "Studying in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" will be delivered by Prof. dr habil. Włodzisław Duch of the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics at the Nicolaus Copernicus University.
