On 22 September 2025 at 12:00 noon, registration for university-wide courses in the winter semester of the 2025/2026 academic year will begin. Registration will last until 12 October 2025.

The offer includes university-wide courses conducted in both Polish and foreign languages. Participation in these courses allows students to gain knowledge in various fields not directly related to their field of study, promotes general development and subsequently strengthens their position in the labour market.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, the Nicolaus Copernicus University will once again offer competency blocks, i.e. sets of 4 to 6 thematically coherent courses, the completion of which means acquiring interpersonal, social, personal and digital competencies that are key in the labour market. Completion of a block is confirmed by a certificate issued before the end of the studies. Students can complete more than one competency block and thus obtain more than one certificate. Importantly, the courses offered as part of the competency blocks can also be taken as individual university-wide courses, and choosing a particular course does not oblige students to complete the entire block.

Registration will remain open until 12 October 2025 until 23:59. The list of courses available can be found on the NCU website. Students can enrol in two extra-curricular courses per year at no additional cost.

Registration for classes takes place in the USOS system.
