Together with the Poviat
On 27 October, the Nicolaus Copernicus University officially launched cooperation with the Toruń Poviat concerning activities carried out within the Young University for the Future of Europe alliance. The agreement was signed by Professor Andrzej Sokala, NCU Rector and Marek Olszewski, Toruń Starost.
- We have had a broad, long-standing cooperation with the city, I'm very happy that now, in a natural way, we're extending it with the Toruń Poviat. Joint activities of the University and the community are extremely important to us - said Rector Andrzej Sokala.
The cooperation will involve activities such as mutual promotion, joint organization of events, creating opportunities for YUFE students to do voluntary work at the Poviat Starosty, expanding the training offer for Poviat residents, informing the local community through various channels about the university's initiatives addressed to them, especially about the operation of the Student Counseling Centers.
The idea of YUFE, as far as cooperation with the local community is concerned, perfectly fits into the activities of the local government, said Marek Olszewski, Toruń Starost - The citizens will surely appreciate the possibilities opened up by this agreement and will take advantage of the wide range of initiatives.
The ceremony was also attended by the coordinator of YUFE at NCU, Prof. Przemysław Nehring, Vice-Rector for Education, Katarzyna Fus, leader of the university's YUFE in our City team and Adrian Aleksandrowicz, responsible on the part of the Poviat for the implementation of the Agreement.
