With Rector over a coffee
– Today's meeting serves the purpose of bringing us closer together, so that you can feel that, through your contact with us, you can be co-responsible for the future of our university, said prof. dr habil. Andrzej Tretyn, NCU Rector during a meeting with employees in the NCU Auditorium on the anniversary of the Rector's election, in which he won his third term of office.
The meeting, organised exactly one year after the victorious election, had the character of an informal ''coffee with the Rector'' and provided an opportunity to talk to the Rector's authorities in a casual atmosphere. Professor Andrzej Tretyn, was accompanied by a group of his closest colleagues - the Vice-Rectors: dr habil. Adam Kola, NCU Prof., dr habil. Magdalena Barwiołek, NCU Prof., prof. dr habil. Dariusz Grzanka, dr habil. Joanna Kucharzewska, NCU Prof., dr habil. Radosław Sojak, NCU Prof., and dr habil. Monika Wałachowska, NCU Prof. Also present at the Rector's side were the directors of university-wide units selected in in the first four months of the new term.
I am glad that when I decided to stand for election, I managed to attract around me young, ambitious people who, like me, thought not only about the present, but also about the future of the University,' stressed Prof. Andrzej Tretyn. - Through conscious choices and competitive interviews for the position of directors and the position of chancellor, we have managed to gather a group of people who will manage the university for the coming years - these are experienced people, but also a generation younger than me. I don't have a problem with the age difference, we get along very well and I hope that we will all make it to the end of the term.
