The European Youth Championships in Fiorenzuola started on 8 October. In Italy, we will see 17 cyclists and 19 women cyclists from Poland, including students from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

The Polish national team includes Patrycja Lorkowska and Anna Sagan (students of Sports and Wellness). The TKK Pacyfic Toruń cyclists will perform at a medium distance. In the European Championships they will compete for medals in the U23 age category. Both students follow the dual- career program. Patrycja Lorkowska was awarded the Laurel of the Best Student - Athlete of the University, which she was not able to collect in person during the inauguration ceremony of the academic year due to intensive preparations for the championships.
