YUFE Friend – Integration and Fun

Eight events, over 150 participants, plenty of new friendships and experiences – this sums up the second edition of the "Mystery Friend" programme, which aims, amongst other things, to bring together Polish and international students at the Nicolaus Copernicus University and to build ties between the academic community and the local community.

The events in the series included creative workshops, outdoor and team-building games, quizzes, art sessions and activities designed to promote cooperation and help participants get to know one another. A total of 150 people took part, including 30 residents of Toruń.

The programme provided participants with an opportunity to meet new people, exchange experiences and build relationships in an international setting. Through joint activities, international students were able to gain a better understanding of Polish culture, feel more connected to the university and the city, and settle into their new surroundings more easily. For local students and residents of Toruń, the programme was an opportunity to forge international connections, learn about other cultures and actively participate in the life of the academic community.

The 'Mystery Friend' programme has been running at the Nicolaus Copernicus University since 2024 as part of the YUFE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe) network, in collaboration with the Amicus Universitatis Nicolai Copernici Foundation.
