The second call for the YUFE4Postdocs programme lasts until 31 December 2023. It is a career development program for young scientists, which is co-funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Cofund.

YUFE4Postdocs aims to develop post-doctoral careers and strengthen the relationship between academia and society. Under the program, young scholars and researchers from various universities can carry out a research project at universities affiliated with the Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) consortium. Individuals can submit their own scientific project on urban opportunities and challenges in two thematic blocks: social well-being and European identity.

The program includes participation in training courses and seminars to develop, e.g. teamwork skills, critical and analytical thinking and creativity. Topics will also include the benefits of open science and the urge to innovate in research methods. Aside from the universities, six business organizations as well as ten city and regional councils were involved in the training courses.
