On 21 September at 12:00 noon, registration for university-wide courses in the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year will begin. Registration will remain open until 11 October.

The program includes university-wide courses taught in both Polish and foreign languages. Taking these courses lets students gain knowledge in fields not directly related to their major. This additional knowledge also contributes to their overall development and strengthens their position in the job market.

Registration for classes takes place in the USOS system.

In the 2026/2027 academic year, the Nicolaus Copernicus University will once again offer competency blocks, i.e., sets of 4 to 6 thematically coherent courses, the completion of which will lead to the acquisition of interpersonal, social, personal, and digital competencies that are key in the labour market. Completion of a block is confirmed by a certificate issued before the end of the studies.  Completion of a block will be confirmed by a certificate issued before the end of studies. As a competence block is just a group of selected university-wide courses, choosing one or two subjects does not obligate you to complete all of them (for the 2025/2026 academic year, it's Polish language only).
